Nicholas Salvatore Moffa 80 of 1112 Champions Dr. Daytona Beach Fl died on Thursday from a brief illness at home surrounded by family and loved ones. He is survived by his wife Theresa of 57 years and 8 children Andrea White Ormond Beach Jacqueline Masopust Marietta Ga. Diane Golden Marlborough Ma. Nicolette Banbury Marlborough Ct. Joseph Moffa wife Linda Yorba Ca. Bernadette Yates Marlborough Ma Christopher Moffa Denver Co. and Daniel Moffa Watertown Ct. as well as his 14 Grandchildren. Mr. Moffa was born in 1924 to parents Salvatore and Philomena Moffa in Marlborough Ma. where he lived until retirement in 1988. Upon retirement he spent summers on Cape Cod and winters in Ormond Beach. Mr. Moffa was a World War II veteran who served with honor in Europe. In 1948 he married Theresa Dupuis and settled in Marlborough. He is a graduate of Northeastern University Worcester Polytechnic Institute School of Management and the Harvard Business Schools? Advance Management Program. He entered the workforce as a foreman for Bay State Abrasives a Westboro Massachusetts company and rose to President of the Abrasive Divisions Dresser Industries. During his tenure he earned the distinguished Albert J. Schweiger School of Industrial Management Award from WPI. He was a valued member and trustee of the community he grew up in working on many business civic and community boards. He enjoyed being a member of the LPGA Club and of the Halifax Yacht Club while playing Gin with other retirees. He will be remembered as a loving devoted husband and father and an optimist who enjoyed reading politics and counseling family and friends. He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor and unconditional love. In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to Hospice of Flagler and Volusia Counties.
