Nicholas Lukas passed away peacefully on July 19, 2015 at the Halifax Hospice Center, Port Orange..
He was born on March 26, 1947 in Dover New Jersey the son of the late Jack and Donita Marie (Massari) Lukas.
Nick served in the United States Army from 1968-1970 having been honorable discharged.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Sheryl Lukas, a daughter Jeanette ( Paul ) Jueckstock, a son Joseph Lukas, grandchildren Elaina, Paulie, and Lena all of Port Orange.
Survivors also include his sisters Donna Lukas, Debra Melber, Denise ( Jim ) Timmins, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins . Nick was predeceased by two brothers Jack and Edward Lukas. Nick and his wife relocated to Florida from Rockaway, New Jersey in 2003. He was a proud business owner over the last 12 years. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. on Wednesday (TODAY) July 22, 2015 at the Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at The Church of the Epiphany, 201 Lafayette Ave Port Orange, on Thursday July, 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please consider the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler.
