May Robinson Hutson, 101, of Daytona Beach, FL, passed from this life on November 17, 2013.

May was born on October 8, 1912 to the late Emmett and Nellie Robinson in Seville, FL. After graduating from college with a Bachelor's Degree in Education, May began her 42 year teaching career at Enterprise, FL then teaching for many years at Holly Hill Elementary School and Volusia Avenue Elementary School. She also participated in coaching basketball at Holly Hill School in the 1930's. She was active in the Girl Scouts of Volusia County until the 1960's. Nellie May was also a member of First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach and taught Sunday school for children's classes for many years. Nellie May belonged to the Retired Teachers Association and ADK.

May was married to her late husband John Hutson for 50 years before his passing. She is also predeceased by her Daughter Bonnie Jean Hutson, Brother Carl Robinson and Sisters June Reynolds, Janet Thorne and Mildred Casper. May is survived by her Daughter Linda June Klingaman (Michael), Grandsons Jay Hogsette, Robert Klingaman (Shana), Mark Klingaman (Jamie) and Christine Jeschke (Dave) and 7 Great-Grandchildren.

A celebration of May's life is scheduled for Wednesday November 20, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. with a religious service beginning at 12:00 P.M. at Lohman - Daytona Funeral Home, 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. The interment will take place at Daytona Memorial Park following the service at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made in May's Memory to the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler.
