Elizabeth Losley, 92, of Port Orange, FL, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.  Elizabeth enjoyed a full and varied life, ultimately residing in the Daytona Beach area for 55 years where she worked in the Volusia County Health Care Department until her retirement.

Elizabeth was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Milton and Nellie Owensby, along with 1 older brother and 4 younger sisters.  Her husband of 48 years, Leland A. Losley, preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by 2 of her sisters- Martha Underwood and Margie Kidder of Georgia; 3 daughters- Janet Currie and Jeanene Hakojarvi of Florida and LuAnn Morris of Georgia; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was an involved member of her community, actively participating in various social groups such as P.O.R.T., Sensational Seniors, Homemaker's Club, and Bridge Club.

As a devout Christian, Elizabeth was a long-standing member of First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach and is commemorated for regularly giving of herself in volunteer services. She volunteered for many years at the Halifax Health Hospice Resale Shop, as a member of the Halifax Health Auxiliary where she provided more than 10,000 hours of service, and in food preparation at the Hospice Care Center.

Most importantly, Elizabeth is memorialized by her family and friends for the great love that she felt for each and every one. She never missed an opportunity to express her love and will be grievously missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Lohman Funeral Home, 1423 Bellevue Ave, Daytona Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, 10 First Baptist Parkway, Daytona Beach.
