Nellie S. Adkins, of Deltona, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2012. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 29, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Osteen, 321 N. State Road 415, Osteen. Family will received friends on Friday, June 28, at Lohman Funeral Home Deltona, 1681 Providence Blvd., Deltona.

Nellie was born on March 27, 1947 in Corbin, Kentucky to Hiram and Telitha Ingram. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking southern meals for family and friends. Nellie was very active and dedicated to her church First Baptist Church of Osteen. She was an active member in the Sandcastle Storytellers and the Florida Region Antique Automobile Club of America.

She is survived by her loving husband, Alson Adkins, and her son, Andrew Adkins, both of Deltona, FL. She is preceded in death by her siblings; Claude Ingram, Audrey Murray, Collis Ingram, Cecil Ingram, David Ingram, Cedric Ingram, Hiram Ingram Jr., Paul Ingram, Alois Moore, Alice Robinson, Derenre Steele, and Mary Browning.
