A Memorial Service for Nathan E. Bostic 77 of Ormond Beach FL who passed away on Sunday May 13 2007 at Halifax Medical Center Daytona Beach will be held 2:00pm Saturday May 19 2007 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd Ormond Beach FL. Born to Fred & Stella Bostic in Lexington KY on February 17 1930 he moved to Florida in 1947. He graduated from Mainland High in 1948 and served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union #295 Masonic Lodge #81 an Honorary Kentucky Colonel and organized the Retirees Club for Pipefitters. He was a field engineer for Kennedy Space Center for 40 years on Pad 5 and a retired plumber & pipefitter. He attended all of the sporting events his sons played in and enjoyed wood working NASCAR gardening reading football built dune buggies photography and he loved his pets and his computer. He was preceded in death by his parents a brother James and his companion dog Tiffany. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years Velma; three sons: Dennis(Ila) of Wetumpka AL; Doug & Donald both of Ormond Beach; a granddaughter Brittany of Ormond Beach; three sisters: Bonnie Ware of Newell AL; Francis Perkins of Nicholasville KY and Betty of Holly Hill.
