It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Nancy Merisko. She was 96 years old. She was born 30 August 1926 in LLoydell, PA. Nancy graduated from Windber Hospital School of Nursing in 1948 with an RN degree. She was valedictorian of her class. She graduated from St Joseph's College in 1984 with a BS degree in Health Administration. Nancy worked for over 30 years in the field geriatrics medicine, first as a nurse than as a Nursing Home Administrator and Auditor. She also taught CNA courses in several community colleges. Nancy had been a member of the Basilica of St Paul for 25 years and was a member of St Theresa's Circle. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband George and her sister Ronnie Beckham. Nancy is survived by her daughter Joey Kelly, son Ron Meris, grandsons Shaun Kelly and Ronald Meris, Jr, granddaughter Nancy, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
