Muriel Stewart of Magnolia Loop Port Orange went home to the Lord on February 2 2004 at Indigo Manor Nursing Home. She had suffered a long battle with Alzheimer?s Disease and is now at peace.

Muriel was born in New York City to Herman and Emma Rosch and lived a full and happy life. She moved to Port Orange in 1985 following her retirement from Charmer Industries after thirty years as a sales clerk. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 61 years and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 3282 and was a Pink Lady at Halifax Hospital for 10 years.

She had many friends who loved her greatly. She had a great sense of humor loved a good time and made everyone feel welcomed into her home. She enjoyed reading crocheting playing cards and most of all spending time with her family.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday February 5 2004 at 2:00pm at the Ormond Funeral chapel.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years Wallace of Port Orange; her daughter Sandra Hostettler Ormond Beach; her brother Erwan Rosch Phoenix Arizona; two grandchildren Jennifer and Christopher Long Island New York; and one great grandchild Julie. She was preceded in death by her daughter Muriel.

We want to thank the staff at Indigo Manor for their loving care of Muriel during her final year. We especially thank Susie Larrison Barbara Allen Ross Belcher and the 2 North staff for their love and support.

Muriel will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
