Muriel T. Flanders age 91 passed away on July 2 2010 in Lake Helen FL. Muriel was born on July 24 1918 in Greenfield MA to Everett and Daisy Taggart. She was a graduated from Bat Path Business College and worked as a school secretary for many years. She met and married her husband William Flanders who preceded her in death. Together they moved to Lake Helen many years ago. Muriel was a devoted member of First Congregational United Church of Christ and was very active in her church serving a church treasurer among other volunteer roles. She loved gardening and her involvement in the garden club and was an active member of Eastern Star both in Vermont and in Lake Helen. Muriel is survived by her two cousins Ruth Watkins of Orlando FL and Shirley Hurd of Seymour CT; and her grandson Dana Flanders of Atlanta GA. A graveside service will be held next week at Morningside Cemetery in Brattleboro Vermont.
