MILTON ALEXANDER CUNNINGHAM (MAC) passed away at 92 years of age on December 24th. He has joined his beloved wife Elinor Jane (EJ) whom met him at the Gates of Heaven. He had met his future wife in 4th grade in Toledo, Ohio where they became childhood sweethearts. He was attending the University of Toledo when WWII broke and he enlisted in the Army. He was in all Five of the major European Theatres (wars) including the infamous Battle of the Bulge. Upon his return, he married his sweetheart and finished his degree in engineering. He worked at Erie Army Depot in Port Clinton, OH where they were working on early rockets.

In 1964 he moved his family to Ormond Beach and went to work at the GE building where space development continued. He finished his engineering career working for many years at NASA where he was an integral member of all the space missions including Gemini and Apollo. He was very involved in his community in Oak Harbor, Ohio and Ormond Beach: Veteran of Foreign War, American Legion, Mason, Rotary Club (President), Kiwanis Club (President and Lt. Governor), Daytona Beach Museum, Quarterback Club. Deaf Service Center(Board Director), Boy Scouts (leader), Bethune Cookman Wildcats Athletic Foundation, AARP, University of Toledo graduate 1948 and Alumni Tower Club, member of Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church, an avid tennis player with the Ormond Racquet Club and the Greater Volusia Tennis League. He also was a huge FSU fan. After retiring from NASA he joined EJ and worked together as Realtors with Adams & Cameron.

He leaves behind four children, Susan and Sally Cunningham, Ormond Beach, Craig (Sandra) Cunningham, Flagler Beach, and Lance (Christi) Cunningham, Knoxville and six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on December 29th at 10:00 am at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach, FL. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 am at the funeral home.
