Mildred Betz McLean age 98, better known to family and friends as
"Mom-Mom", entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2014 at Stewart F. Meyer Hospice House, Palm Coast Florida. Born in Hancock, Pennsylvania on September 13, 1915 to Samuel and Ida (Stitzel) Betz, she was raised in Maxatawny Township and graduated from Kutztown High School.
After her marriage to Donald McLean they moved to Weavertown, Pa., then moved to Stonersville, Pa. in 1957 and then to Earl Township in 1982. In 2008 she moved to Ormond Beach, Florida with her daughter and son-in-law.
Mildred was employed as a sewing machine operator until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of St. Paul's UCC Church in Amityville, Pa., and a member of the Ladies Aid.
She was preceded n death by her parents, Ida and Samuel Betz formally of Toptom, Pa. and her loving husband Donald McLean, a marriage spanning 67 years. Donald entered into eternal rest on October 25, 2004.
Mildred is survived by three daughters, Deanna Coleman of Duck River, Tenn., Rosanna wife of Lawrence Fronczak of Ormond Beach, Fl. and Barbara wife of Scott Evert also of Ormond Beach, Fl. ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in Boyertown, Pa. under the direction of Linwood W. Ott's Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mildred memory to Florida Hospital Hospice Care, 770 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach, Fl 32174, and or the Heart or Cancer fund.
