Mildred L.W. Fredin 102 a long-time resident of the Volusia County area passed away peacefully on April 20 2010. She was born in New York City on December 26 1907 and spent a large part of her life in Buffalo NY. She spent her working years as a bookkeeper in the finance industry. During the 1940's she met her late husband Herman Fredin who she shared over forty wonderful years with prior to his death. In her younger years she enjoyed sewing and had a love for the beach. Mildred's strong will allowed her to live on her own until she was 96. She then spent the last seven years of her life at "Judy's Place" in Edgewater Florida where she was well taken care of. Mildred will be remembered for her deep sense of compassion. Although she never had any children of her own she shared her love with her 18 nieces and nephews who will now cherish her in their memory. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Spencer and Ralph Woodfield.
