Mildred Louise Bates 86 of South Daytona passed away Monday July 17 at Halifax Medical Center. Born in Macon Ga. she moved to this area in 2005 from Keller Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Keller. Locally she attended Port Orange Church of the Nazarene. Her strength of character and indomitable spirit tempered by kindness compassion and generosity endeared her to her family and a host of friends.
She is survived by her 2 sons; Charles H. Bates Jr. of Fort Worth Texas and Kenneth R. Bates and his wife Frances of South Daytona her sister Mary Helen Singleton of Douglasville Ga. 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Graveside service and interment will take place on Saturday at 1pm at Rest Haven Garden of Memory in Decatur Ga.
