Milagros "Millie" Ortiz, 60, of Deltona, Florida passed away on December 23, 2023. She was born in Manhattan, New York on September 24, 1963 to Victor Ortiz and Maria Perez.

Millie is, and will always be, loved by many. She will be remembered for many things, but mostly her selflessness, contagious laughter, and beautiful smile. She was a teacher at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School, in the Little Blessings program, and had found her calling working with little ones. Millie loved going to the beach, going shopping, and spending time with her family. She was a phenomenal homemaker, and an amazing mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Ortiz and Maria Perez; and her son, Nicholas Perez.

Millie is survived by her loving partner of 25 years, Douglas Melendez; her children, Ryan Melendez and Amanda Melendez; her brothers, Orlando Ortiz and Victor Velazquez; and her sisters, Carmen Ortiz and Rachael Velazquez.

A visitation will be held at Lohman Funeral Home in Deltona, Florida on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00 pm.

Catholic mass will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.
