Mike Sallese 82 of Port Orange FL passed away on December 20 2011. Born in Newberg WV Mike started his career by entering the U.S. Navy and proudly serving his country. He then moved to Washington D.C. to work for IBM where he met and married the love of his life Marcia.
Mike and Marcia raised their family in East Windsor New Jersey. Upon retiring from IBM as a cost accountant Mike and Marcia moved to Florida in 1992.
Mike's interests were his garden and wood working. He loved building things with his hands. His passion was politics following all televised political shows. With Mike "The Spin Stops Here".
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Marcia; his son Michael (Niki) Sallese of Port Orange; his daughters Lisa Sallese of Port Orange Debbie (John) Genzo of Robbinsville NJ; his sister Anna Moschetto of Maryland and his beloved grandchildren: Nico Myla Carissa and Justin. He is predeceased by his brothers Donato and Tony Sallese and his sister Mary Silverman.
A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday January 3 2012 at The Church of the Epiphany at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations are made in Mike's name to Halifax Health Hospice Care Center of Volusia/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange FL 32127.
