Michelle Karin Sloane, 36, a resident of South Daytona, Florida, since 1974, died at Halifax Medical Center on January 25, 2003. Ms. Sloane a graduate of Volusia County Schools and the University of Central Florida was a banker and financial planner in Orlando for many years and most recently a day care worker in South Daytona Florida. Working with small children gave her incredible joy. She also loved cooking beautiful clothes reading and music. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ-Orlando where Wesley T. Leonard baptized her in June 2000.

Survivors include her mother Sue Sloane of South Daytona Florida her father and stepmother James and Judy Sloane and stepbrother Will Grim all of Ormond Beach; two brothers JR Sloane of Honolulu and Jonathon Sloane of Fort Myers Florida; and her grandmother Lillian Richards of Ocean City New Jersey.
