Michael A. Thrasher, 74, died August 28 after a battle with lung cancer. Mike was born November 17, 1946 in Champaign, Illinois to Joan and Belias Thrasher.

Mike's dad was a career Army officer, so Mike lived all over the world as a young boy. Mike spent his entire 44 year career with Delta Airlines. He started with Delta in Dallas, Texas, then transferred to Atlanta, Georgia and finally to Daytona Airport. He retired in 2014 and spent the rest of days beachside in Daytona Beach Shores.

He is survived by his wife Peggy, son Clay, daughter-in-law Rebecca, and granddaughter Kate, of Hoover Alabama; son Christopher, daughter-in-law Tiffany, and granddaughter Mackenzie, of New Cumberland, West Virginia; Mother-in-law Betty Wade of Daytona Beach Shores, brother-in-law Larry Deason of Venice, FL and special friends Don and Sue Huffman of Chattanooga, Tennessee, as well as many others.
