Obituary

Michael Edward Simpson passed peacefully at home on November 27th. He was 76.

Michael enjoyed NASCAR,  BINGO, spending time with his family especialy his newborn Grandson, Jack Michael. He had a comical take on life and was always smiling.

He was stationed in Korea while serving in the U.S. Army.

Michael was a retired Lt. with the City of Daytona  Beach Fire Dept. and the Daytona Beach International Speedway. He served as an usher at Church of the Epiphany and was a lifetime member of VFW 3282 and lifetime member and secretary of the Daytona Beach Retired Police and Firefighter's Assoc.

He is predeceased by his wife Josephine (Rainey) and brother Gerard Simpson.

He is survived by his daughters Marie Yongue (Johnnie), Port Orange; Michelle Simpson, Port Orange; and Barbara Kates (Michael), Murphy, NC, his beloved newborn Grandson Jack Michael Yongue,  sisters Christine Sparacino Barillas (Antonio), Princeton, NJ and Rita Sheehan (Tim), Bethel. NY, many, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Epiphany, Port Orange.
Intermittent will be at Cape  Canaveral National Cemetery at a later date.
