Funeral Mass for Michael J. Restuccia age 82 of Ormond Beach who passed away Wednesday August 31 2005 will be held Tuesday September 6 2005 at The Prince of Peace Catholic Church at 9:00am with Father Tim Daly officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Mr. Restuccia was born in Pittston Pennsylvania and moved to this area from Pittston in 1945. He was a member of the Elks of Ormond Beach the Hot Stove League the Touchdown Club and was a parishioner of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He was a WW II veteran of the US Army receiving a Victory Medal and an American Service Medal. During his Army service he helped maintain the Welch Convalescent Hospital where he met his wife Victoria in the 1940?s. He was also a member of the Armed Forces Service Band playing the trombone. He enjoyed and was instrumental in developing the Daytona Beach Babe Ruth Baseball League in the late 1960?s. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Victoria Trudo sons Richard J. of Ormond Beach and John M. and his wife Kimberly also of Ormond Beach a brother James of New Jersey and a sister Marion Tavella also of New Jersey and two grandsons Jake Biggs and Nicholas M. Restuccia of Ormond Beach. Donations may be made in his memory to the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange FL 32119.
