Funeral Services for Michael T. O'Brien 62 of Ormond Beach and Whiting New Jersey who died March 8 2008 will be held on Wednesday March 12 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. His family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at which time the Rev. Robert Morehead will officiate. Michael was born on May 3 1945 in South Amboy NJ. He graduated from Sayreville High School in New Jersey. Michael married Joanne Mollis on May 15 1965. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Marines serving in Vietnam. He worked as a lineman for 38 years with Jersey Central Power and Light. He and his wife retired from Jersey Central Power and Light in 2002. The couple lived in Jackson NJ from 1972 until 2001. Michael was a member of The American Legion VFW Elks Eagles and a lifelong member of the NRA. He was also a volunteer driver for the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed RV traveling shooting and was an avid motorcyclist. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Joanne his son and daughter-in-law Timothy and Dawn O'Brien Ormond Beach and his son Donald O'Brien of Jackson NJ a sister Loretta Groome Keyport NJ three adoring grandchildren Travis Nicole and Lauren and several nieces and nephews. Michael will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Memorial donations can be made in his name to The American Cancer Society.
