Michael R. Malachuk, ( Richard ), was born on September 15, 1930, in the Bronx, New York to Stephen Malachuk and Helen Federowsky. ( Helena Hodorsky ) Michael was called home by his Lord and Savior on June 13, 2025. His sisters nicknamed him Richard early in life, since he only had an initial for a middle name; most people have known him as ( Richard ). Michael is survived by his wife of 32 years plus Linda; his children, Sally Cope (Bill Cope), Cindy Kelbert, and Kim Burnard (CSM. Craig Burnard); and a stepson, John Stacy Lawson, ( Dr. Ranjan Sharma ), Michael has four grandchildren, Dr. Kevin Cope, ( Dr. Angela Cope ,) Travis Cope, ( Kimberly Cope ,) Cathryn Burnard, ( Danny Roberts ), and Kyle Burnard. Michael ( Richard ) has ten great grandchildren, Cecily, Margaret, Evelyn, Timothy, Julia, Andrew, Kaden, Nash, Cole and Cami.
He has many very special nieces and nephews and their spouses who survive him and who love him very much. Richard will be missed by his wife and all who knew him and loved him.
He had five sisters and five brothers who preceded him in death. Michael was the last of eleven children.
Michael worked with his brother Dan Malachuk in the Jewelry Business in Plainfield and Watchung, New Jersey, and eventually took over working for 42 years in the business, before retiring in 1995 and moving to Port Orange, FL.
Services will be at Crossroads Church located at 1851 Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL. 32119 on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 1:30pm.
Burial Daytona Memorial Park (formerly known as Bellevue Memory Gardens) - 1423 Bellevue Ave. Daytona Beach, FL. 32114 at 3:00pm.
