Michael Kurciviez,78, passed away surrounded by his family on January 18, 2018.  Mike was born May 21, 1939 in Cambridge Massachusetts to Mike and Edith (nee Johnson), who proceeded him in death.

An avid fan of the horse races, Mike knew his real luck was finding the love of his life, Patricia who survives him and with whom he was married to for 34 years. Mike is also survived by his sister Gail and his brother Steve, married to Aggie as well as his six step-children, Erik Froden Jr., David Froden, Bryan Froden married to Angela, Michelle Moore married to Chad, Patti Richeson married to Dave, Sharon Gibson married to Jeff, 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A veteran of the Navy for 20 years, Mike loved his country so much that after retiring chose a second career with the Treasury Department from which he retired in 2011 at the age of 72.

Some of Mike's favorite things were to take his family out to dinner and eat mussels, play with Curren, spoil Patricia and Michelle and go for long walks on the beach.  Mike will be truly missed and never fogotten by all those lucky enough to know him.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 25 ^th at Lohman's Funeral Home 1201 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange 32127 ,  Visitation begins at 10 a.m. with the memorial service following at 11 a.m.
