IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Lee
Hockett
February 8, 1948 – April 16, 2025
Michael Lee Hockett, 77, of Deltona, Florida went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. He was born on February 8, 1948, to Leon and Lucille (née Sacher) Hockett in Dayton, Ohio.
After high school, Michael enlisted in the United States Army. He took great pride in serving his country. Once his enlistment was fulfilled, he found a stable career in automotive sales. He was nomadic in life – he enjoyed traveling the backroads and moving to new places, his career allowed him to find work in any city he may call home. In his downtime, Michael loved to go fishing and would roll the dice every once in awhile at the casino. He lived his life with no worries, he always knew he would find a way and make it. He loved dogs, and will be sorely missed by his shih tzu, Charlie. Given the opportunity, Michael always took the long way home.
Michael leaves behind his wife of thirty-one years, Mrs. Margaret (née Trujillo) Hockett; his children, Brandi Hockett, Renee Dungen, and Leon Hockett; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Sophia, and Skyler; his great-grandchildren, Mason, Hunter, and Owen; his sister, Linda Hockett; his step children, Tina Tomasello and Ron Brown; his step-grandchildren, Alec, Hunter, Derek, Mariah, and Nicholas; and his beloved shih tzu, Charlie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Lucille (née Sacher) Hockett; and his brother, Charles Hockett.
Arrangements are in the care of Lohman Funeral Home – Deltona. A memorial service may take place at a future date.
