Obituary

Emanuel "Michael" Nicholas Gahagan, 69, of Daytona Beach, Florida, fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, December 3, 2014.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Daytona Beach with Fr. Joseph Samaan officiating. A private family service will follow at Daytona Memorial Park.
Michael was born July 7, 1945 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to William and Crise (Apostolakis) Gahagan. He graduated from New Brunswick High School and attended Rutgers University. On June 28, 1970 he married the former Renee Constant-Gahagan. He worked for various restaurant chains before becoming the General Manager of the Shrimp House Restaurant in Daytona Beach Shores and later became General Manager at Cedar River Seafood in DeLand. He was a member of the Order of AHEPA having served as the organization's Chapter President and was District Governor of the Sons of Pericles.

Michael is survived by his two sons, William Michael Gahagan and his wife Debbie (Vonakis) Gahagan of Ormond Beach, Florida and Sam Nicholas Gahagan of Daytona Beach, Florida, his Godson Michael Sotirin and his wife Desiree of Orlando, Florida and his sister Martha (Gahagan) Madama of New Brunswick, New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Crise and his brother-in-law Bobby Madama.
