Michael Donivan, 54, formerly of Staten Island, passed away September 23, 2014 in Palm Coast, FL. Michael was born May 22, 1960 to Harry and Joan (nee Sullivan) Donivan. He was born in Staten Island and grew up in Great Kills. Michael graduated from Tottenville High School, where he played on the football team as a standout Defensive End. He then went on to play at Hudson Valley College. He established a career at JP Morgan in Manhattan as a graphic artist for over 25 years.

Michael was a sports fanatic, devotedly following the Giants and the Mets. He played for many years in the South Shore Touch Tackle League, South Shore softball association, Smith League and a number of other softball leagues. He also enjoyed playing golf with friends. Of his many eclectic interests and hobbies, most noteworthy were amateur astronomy and music. Michael's passion, however, was his family and friends. Michael's legacy was the profound importance he imparted through his friendship to his wide group of friends and his beloved family.

In December of 2012, he followed his long time dream of living in Florida to be near his family. Michael will be sadly missed by his sisters: Joan (John) Colavito, Denise (Larry) Kirkpatrick, Annmarie (Jimmy) Mavricos; by his brothers Brian (Sue) Donivan and Harry (Carolyn) Donivan; by his 14 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.

A Visitation in his honor will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 7-9pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 11am at St. Brendan's Catholic Church, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL 32176. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Condolences may be shared with the family through this online guestbook.
