Michael R. Appleford 54 of Port Orange entered into eternal life at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday August 20 2008 at Hospice of Volusia-Flagler in Port Orange.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday August 25 at the Lohman Funeral Home in Port Orange. The family has requested that the memorials be made to the John P Redmond Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
Michael was born on November 9 1953 in Port Huron MI. The son of Kenneth and Elizabeth (Leach) Appleford. He was retired from the Port Huron Fire Department in Port Huron MI after many years of saving lives as a firefighter. Michael was a long standing member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Survivors include his son: Jeff ( wife Cory) Appleford of Port Orange; daughter: Nicole (husband Thomas) Ross of Lexington MI; brother: Richard (wife Bonnie) Appleford of North Fort Myers FL; grandchildren: Trenton Michael Appleford and Taylor Rae Appleford and several nieces nephews cousins and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Bonnie Wolfe.
