Merrill Brian Sandler, born on January 24, 1956, has passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at a rehabilitation facility in Daytona, Florida, after a long illness, and will be remembered by his family and friends. Merrill was born and raised in Lynn, MA with his parents, Jason and Leatrice Sandler, and his brother Mark Sandler. Merrill settled down in the Daytona, Florida area, where he raised his daughter, Jennifer Sandler. He also has two grandchildren, Aubrey and Alex Hohenstein, whom he cherished deeply. He also had many nieces and nephews who adored him as well.
Throughout his life, Merrill had a profound passion for motorcycles, both riding and building them. He spent years crafting various bikes, antique cars, and trucks. Merrill was also a Mason and a retired member of the Fire and Iron Motorcycle Club. Last year, he proudly received his 20-year sobriety coin, a testament to his dedication to his sobriety. He was an advocate for helping others achieve and maintain sobriety.
Merrill’s services will be held on Monday September 14, 2026, at Lohman Funeral Home, located at 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW, Palm Coast, FL 32137. The service will commence 1pm-5pm. All are welcome to attend service.
