In Loving Memory of Melinda Banks
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melinda Banks, a beloved mother, friend, and follower of Christ. Melinda peacefully departed this world on January 7, 2024, leaving behind two devoted sons, Taner Banks and Tyler Banks. She is preceded in death by her loving father, Billy Regar, Sr. and leaves behind a family who adored her: Mother Barbara Regar; brother Billy Regar, Jr. with his wife Stacia, Nephew Radley, and niece Finnley; and a granddaughter Adaline.
Melinda was a vibrant and outgoing woman who had an incredible ability to light up any room she entered. Her infectious joy and warm spirit endeared her to everyone she met. Whether it was spending time with friends or family, Melinda's enthusiasm for life was evident in every moment she shared. Her laughter and positivity left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.
Melinda cherished family dinners, finding joy in the simple act of sharing a meal with her loved ones. Her love for gatherings extended to her friends, creating cherished memories that will be forever held in their hearts.
In addition to her love to travel, Melinda took pleasure in watching her family thrive. She loved watching her nephew ride the waves while surfing and spent precious moments coloring with her niece. Melinda was a proud mother, finding immense joy in witnessing her sons, Taner and Tyler, succeed in their endeavors.
Melinda cherished the simple joys of life, and among her favorite places was the beach. Whenever possible, she would find solace and happiness in the soothing sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun.
A dedicated follower of Christ, Melinda found purpose and fulfillment in her faith. She was an active member of Thrive Church, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion. Her commitment to serving others extended beyond her church community, as she volunteered at the dentist office, providing her time to a profession she had a passion for.
Melinda was not only a source of inspiration through her faith but also through her resilience. A stroke survivor, she faced each day with courage and gratitude. Every day she spent on Earth was a miracle, and her unwavering strength became a testament to the power of hope and the resilience of the human spirit.
While Melinda may no longer be physically present, her spirit and the memories shared with her will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. This is not a goodbye but a "see you later" as we carry forward the love, joy, and inspiration she brought into our lives.
In honoring Melinda's memory, let us celebrate the remarkable woman she was and find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the embrace of eternity. May her legacy of love, positivity, and resilience continue to inspire us all.
