Melinda A. Andrisen, 42, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026. She was born on April 12, 1984 in Pensacola, Florida. Melinda was an adventurous soul and a few of her hobbies were surfing, camping, hiking, pickleball, writing, yoga and traveling. Melinda’s early life was spent close to the water. She enjoyed bream fishing with her family, swimming at the beach and exploring with her brother Keith. She worked hard in school wanting to achieve success. This carried on into adulthood.

Melinda took pleasure in being a Brownie and Girl Scout. This is where she applied their motto, “Be Prepared” to her life. Later she became the leader for her daughter Lalya’s troop. Melinda liked sports and was a great athlete. She achieved success participating on the swim team throughout junior high and high school. Additionally, her superior writing skills allowed her to write for two local newspapers and develop year books for her high school.

Melinda earned her finance degree at the University of North Florida while raising Gavin and Layla ,who were wonderful babies at the time, and working full-time as a personal banker. Melinda leveraged her education and skills to achieve success as an energy trader before her transition to be a full-time stay at home Mom. Melinda married her husband John in 2006, and they welcomed Carter in 2007 and Fisher in 2013. Melinda’s passion was always the kids and she put everything into making them the amazing people they are today. Melinda brought joy to the lives of countless friends as well as her husband, children and her family. She was a pure soul that sought to always do the right thing, make the people around her better and make the world a better place.

Melinda is survived by her husband, John Andrisen; son, Gavin Cade; daughter, Layla Andrisen; son, Carter Andrisen; son, Fisher Andrisen; mother, Kari Holland (husband, Thomas Holland); sister, Heather Chaney (husband, Corey Chaney); brother, Keith Price (wife, Sarah Feuer); grandfather, Donald Tetzlaff; and other extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Tommy Dean Price.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach located at 733 West Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, Florida 32174. Since Melinda was not formal, her request is everyone honor her by dressing in casual, bright colored clothing - nothing formal or dark. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach.
