Melba (Meem) Stoddard Burns 84 passed away October 31 2011. There will be a Visitation held Thursday November 3 2011 from 5pm - 7pm with a Funeral Service at 7pm at Baggett & Summers Funeral Home 736 S Beach Street Daytona Beach FL. She will be laid to rest next to her husband on Friday November 4 2011 at 11:30am at Bushnell National Cemetery. She was born November 28 1926 in Trenton NJ to the late Benjamin and Lucy Stoddard. She graduated from Morrisville High School. Melba was employed by Lit Brothers in Trenton NJ and St. Mary's Hospital in Langhorne PA. She has resided for the last 31 years in South Daytona FL. She enjoyed watching her baseball games and was an avid Yankees fan. She adored Dale Earnhardt and her baby Eli of the Giants. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Clinton B. Burns who adored her; her loving children Clinton Tommy David Burns and Nancy Young; her loving grandsons Randy and Ross Kahler and Robert Burns; her sister Mary Stoddard; and brother Harry Stoddard. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family. She enjoyed every minute she spent with them. If you needed to know anything you could call her and she knew the answer. She had a great memory and no one could beat her at Trivial Pursuit. Left to cherish her memory are Linda Kahler (John) Diane Brown (Mickey) James Burns Jeffrey Burns (Rachael) and Barbara Burns (Howie); her grandchildren Michael Christine Nick Erick Melissa Jennifer Alison Heather Clinton Thomas and Diana; her great grandchildren Kiley Austin Randy Danielle Candace Robert and Alex.
