Melanie Jo (May) Stacy, of Port Orange, Florida, passed from this life on July 2, 2023. She was born to the late Albert and Daisy May on July 13, 1951 in Cavour, South Dakota. She was a dedicated nurse, educator, and entrepreneur for many years. She shaped many lives of those she encountered throughout her life. She was a member of Providence Church in Ormond Beach, Florida.

She leaves behind her husband, William Stacy, a son, Andrew Priest, and two daughters, Pennie Lane and Terra Stacy, all of Port Orange, Florida. She was the grandmother to Kent Carey, of Huntington, WV, Leela Lane of Port Orange, FL, and Isaiah and Gabby Poku of Port Orange, FL. She had 4 great-grandchildren: Andrea, Kennedi, Kassidy and Xavier. She also leaves behind 2 sisters/brother-in-laws: Barbara (May) & Jerry Ross, of Batavia, OH and Melinda (May) & Craig Martin of Leesburg, OH and 4 brothers/sisters-in-law: Charles & Patricia May of Beavercreek, OH, Kenneth & Martha May of Leesburg, OH, Allen & Paula May of Leesburg, OH, and James May of Leesburg, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Patricia May Reynolds, and one son, Shane Stacy.

A graveside service will be held on July 18th at 11:00 am at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg, Ohio. Pastor Kevin Stuckey will be officiating. The family requests no flowers be sent but those wishing to pay respects can donate to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
