Maye B. Davis 76 of Daytona Beach passed away Wednesday August 12th at Halifax Medical Center. She was born on May 25 1933 in Phenix City Alabama to the late Hazel and Frank Brantley. She was married to John G. Davis and the couple recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 12th. The couple lived in Daytona Beach for 15 years. Prior to Daytona Beach they enjoyed many years of happiness in Georgia and Texas. She was a graduate of Central High School of Phenix City. She was a devoted Christian and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Port Orange. She was a loving wife mother and grandmother. Throughout her life she has been a faithful servant in many church and civic organizations where she has made wonderful friends and been a joy to all. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband and her three daughters and their families: Cathy Gillespie of Dallas Texas her husband Blake and daughters Tatum and Caitlin; Ina Toms of Albertville Alabama and her son Brantley; and Ginny Muse of Marlow Oklahoma her husband Travis and children John David Michael and Anna Beth. She is also survived by her identical twin Faye Salem of Marble Falls Texas and other family members whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bill Brantley of Sarasota Florida. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday August 16th at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange 1201 Dunlawton Ave. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday August 17th in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange.
