Maya N. Edwards of Ormond Beach, Florida earned her wings on Thursday, July 8th, 2021. She was 16, born on May 2nd, 2005 in Ormond Beach, Florida. The daughter of Crystal Anderson and Stanford Edwards. Step-daughter to Maurice Smith.

Maya was an outstanding sophomore at Seabreeze Highschool, she was a honor roll student who was on the path to graduate. She was always known as a very smart, outgoing, fun, confident, loving and strong minded young lady. She had the most beautiful smile that would light up the whole room.

She is survived by her Mother - Crystal Anderson, Stepfather - Maurice Smith. Grandmothers - Brenda Thomas and Gloria  Powers. Siblings - Jasmine Edwards, Aaliyah La,  Leander Smith, Taylore Smith, Maurice Smith Jr. and Brandon Smith.

She was preceded in death by her father Stanford Edwards.

A service of remembrance will be celebrated on July 16th, 2021. "Gone but never forgotten. Forever in our hearts and on our minds. Until we meet again… we love and miss you dearly Maya."
