Maxwell Efird age 77 of Deland formerly of North Carolina passed away on Friday July 22 2011. 31 years to the day he lost his wife. A graveside service in his honor will be held
At the Amity Presbyterian Cemetery Charlotte NC followed by Military Honors.

Maxwell was born in Charlotte to Roy and Helen Efird he was a proud US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and graduate of Lees McGregor College of Engineering. He dedicated his talents as an Electrical engineer for G.E. Corporation until his retirement. He was an intelligent strong man firm in his convictions who enjoyed tending his vast garden restoring old tractors and lawnmowers and narrating a good tale. His final years in Florida revealed a kind loving attentive father and grandfather.

His beloved wife Effie Louise preceded him in death and he leaves behind two daughters: Kelly (Col. Frank) Falligant Deland FL and Cathy (Frank) Dancy Charlotte NC 3 grandchildren; Ehrin Matison and Susanna and many extended family and friends. Condolences may be shared with the family at
