Maxine Hicks, daughter of the late Oscar, and Savannah Neal of Louisburg, NC.

Maxine Hicks was born in Louisburg, NC on March 13, 1927. She was preceded in death by her late husband Nathaniel Hicks, and 10 siblings. She was the 11th child.

Maxine was a long time member, and resident of Paterson New Jersey, where she attended Canaan Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Gadson L. Graham. She was the President of the Usher Board for many years, and a member of the Emergency Choir. She then joined First AME Church of Palm Coast Florida.

Maxine was saved, enjoyed people, and loved to travel. She was a member of the Eastern Stars, and worked for the Board of Education in Bridgetown, NJ as a teacher.  Maxine worked for Louis Berger Firm in New York, as a Researcher and Developer. She then went on to work for Exxon NJ Fuel, LLC in Florham Park, New Jersey as a Researcher and Developer. Maxine retired, and relocated to Palm Coast, Florida before her death.

Maxine leaves to cherish her memories, her only Son Julius Nathaniel Hicks, 2 grandsons Alquon Hicks, (Shawn), Lawrenceville Township, NJ, Julian Hicks (Akeela), Atlanta, Ga, and 8 Great Grandchildren. A Host of Nieces, Nephews and friends.
