Matthew Arnold Sykes, 60, of Palm Coast passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. He will be sadly missed by his wife of eight years, Teresa Sykes; by his sons: Cheyenne Sykes (wife Cheryl), Laramie Sykes (fianc Michelle Porto), Jeb Sykes (wife Elizabeth), stepson Nicholas Wingrove; his eight grandchildren; his brothers Andy Sykes and John Sykes; and by his sisters Sara Scott and Linda Graham.

Matthew was born in Kissimmee, FL to Charles and Irene (Ponds) Sykes. He was married to Debra Cunningham for 26 years. They raised their family of three sons in Kissimmee. Matthew was a mason in the construction field for over 35 years in the Central Florida area. He was was a Life Member of the Fraternal Order of Moose and served as a Kissimmee Little League coach and umpire for 10 years. He loved college football, especially Florida State. Matthew also was a big Elvis Presley fan.
