Mary Ellen Waller, age 94, of Deland, Florida passed away on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021. Mary was born May 25, 1927, in Branford, Florida the daughter of Alford O. Dorsett and Georgia (Howell) Dorsett.

Mary was a Christian and member of Stetson Baptist Church, DeLand Florida.  She was a Registered Nurse and taught nursing and EMT's at Daytona State College. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha. She was also a volunteer in jail ministry for 43 years. Mary also loved to travel and did it extensively.

Mary is survived by daughters Cathy Ervin (Bob) & Connie Moore; granddaughters Carol Woodham (Paul) & Faith Moore; great-granddaughter Brittany LeRoux.

Mary was preceded in death by Joe Carlton (husband), Fred Waller (husband) & 3 brothers; Edward Dorsett, Hugh Dorsett, and Herbert Dorsett.

A Celebration of Mary Ellen's life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday July 10 ^th at Stetson Baptist Church, 1025 W. Minnesota Ave, DeLand, Florida 32720.  Dr. Dan Glenn will officiate.  Mary will be placed in final rest in Santa Fe Cemetery, Branford, Florida.  Arrangements are under the direction and care of Lohman Funeral Home, DeLand, Florida (386) 736-0021
