Mary Loretta Wall was born February 9, 1922 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She was a daughter of James Ryan and Clara Nelson Ryan (Hugh) Forsyth. Her brother, Gerald Ryan and sister, Gene Ryan, and husband John Allen Wall, preceded her in death.

Throughout her life she was always wiling to help others and touched many lives. She grew up on Lisgar Street, Ottawa. One of Mrs. Wall's most special memories of high school in Ottawa was a prize she won for an essay. She graduated from Mrs. Orr's private business college in Ottawa. She worked during World War II for the National Research Council in Ottawa, where prototypes for planes, tanks, and trains were designed and tested. Following the war, she took a job with Canada Life Insurance Company in the mortgage department, using her secretarial and bookkeeping skills. While at that job she met women who became lifelong friends: Kay Smith Pageau, Doris Coons, and Phyllis Tate.

She married her husband, John Allen Wall in 1947. They lived first, in Ottawa, then in Windsor, Ontario for 14 years before moving to Ft. Myers, FL, in 1965. In Ft. Myers she was a longtime employee of Sears, retiring in 1984. She built a wide network of friends in Ft. Myers and belonged to the Irish Club.

Survivors include: four sons, David Wall, Edgewater; James Wall, Sarasota; John Wall, Daytona Beach; and Michael Wall, Honolulu, Hawaii; three daughters, Maryjean Wall, Lexington, KY; Peggy (Tim) Gaulden, Albuquerque, NM; Lorraine (Ted) Sayers, Peyton, CO, and 12 loving grandchildren.
