Mary Lou Trousdell of Ormond Beach FL was born December 13 1933 in Glen Cove NY and passed away November 13 2010 at Florida Hospital Oceanside Hospice having attained the age of 76 years with her husband at her side. Visitation will be held Tuesday November 16 2010 from 5:00 until 7:00 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at the Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach 733 West Granada Blvd Ormond Beach FL. Mrs. Trousdell will be transported to the Whitting Funeral Home 300 Glen Cove Ave. Glen Head NY with an additional visitation Friday November 19 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday November 20 2010 at 10:00 AM from the St. Boniface Martyr Roman Catholic Church Carpenter and Glen Avenues Sea Cliff NY with burial to follow at the Locust Valley Cemetery Locust Valley NY. She was married in New York NY on September 27 1958 to her husband Thomas Trousdell of Ormond Beach FL for 52 wonderful years. She is also survived by a son Thomas Trousdell and wife Claudia of Bellmore NY; two daughters Joyce Dunn and husband Patrick of Bayville NY and Tracy Trousdell of Long Beach NY; a brother Louis Johnson of Ft. Lauderdale FL; eight grandchildren Thomas Jennifer Alyssa Emily Scott Dylan lan and Joseph; and many nieces nephews and friends. Mary Lou retired after 17 years of service as a police dispatcher for the Lake Success NY Police Department Mary Lou was active in her retirement by being a Hospice volunteer avid golfer a CPR instructor and a Red Cross volunteer. She is preceded in death by her mother Inez Johnson (nee Perucca) a sister Patricia Harris and two brothers Albert Johnson and Charles Johnson.
