Mary Snowden-Payne, 69, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on January 7, 2026, and rocked the heavens upon entry. Born on March 24, 1956, in Paterson City, New Jersey, Mary lived a life full of heart, humor, loyalty, and love.  Mary dedicated thirty years of her career to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where she was a valued coworker and friend to many. She worked hard, showed up fully, and carried herself with a rare blend of strength and kindness that made everyone feel instantly welcome.  Above all else, Mary loved her family deeply. She especially cherished time with her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, friend, and coworker. To know her was to love her. She had a gift for making people laugh, offering good and honest advice, and making sure everyone around her felt seen and included.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Payne; her father, Peter Shanley; her mother, Mae Shanley; and her brother, Michael Shanley.  She is survived by her beloved daughter, Rebecca; her son, Robert; and her cherished granddaughters, Alyssa and Holland.  A memorial service will be held at Epiphany Catholic Church on Thursday, February 5th at 11:00 AM.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, located at 1201 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL 32127.  Flowers are welcome.
