Mary Ann Ruzecki, 83, of Flagler Beach passed away March 9, 2016. Mary Ann was born December 2, 1932 and grew up in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Leyden Community High School, Knox College in Galesburg, IL, and Florida State University.
Mary Ann worked as a Meteorologist for the Federal Government in Washington D.C. and as a Systems Analyst for the Department of Transportation in Washington D.C. She lived in Suitland, MD and Fairfax, VA before retiring to Palm Coast, FL in 1987. She ultimately made Flagler Beach her home. Mary Ann's interests included the A1A Scenic Highway, Turtle Watches, Flagler Beach Museum, and the Space Program. Mary Ann was an organizer and helped found The Friends of A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway. She was on the Board of Directors representing Flagler Beach.
Mary Ann is survived by her brothers John, Richard, and Donald; and by nine nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 12pm-3pm at The Woman's Club, 1524 S. Central Ave, Flagler Beach, FL 32136. Family welcomes friends to begin gathering at 12pm.
