Mary C. Rudebush 98 of Holly Hill passed away on Sunday October 5 2008. Mary was born in Cohoes NY on July 7 1910 to Charles and Katherine Carter. She was a retired Dietician for the Cohoes city school system and moved to this area in 1990 from Cohoes NY. Mary attended the New York School of Art and Design. She was a member at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Ormond Beach Garden Club the Abigail Bartholomew Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for 65 years; past president of the Cohoes NY Red Cross Chapter and the Civil Defense of Cohoes during WW II she was instrumental in the restoration of the Cohoes Music Hall; she swam Lake George NY in 1927 and was a member of the U.S.A. Olympic Swim Team in 1927; she was also a swim instructor for over 50 years. Mary was a direct descendent of Vincent Carter who arrived at the Plymouth Plantation in 1623 coming from England on the ship the "Goodspeed". Survivors include her son Theodore Russell of Holly Hill Florida and two grandsons Mathew and Ted Russell of California.
