Mary Lillian Risk 91 a long-time resident of Deltona passed away October 11 2009 with her family at her side. She was born December 18 1917 in Peekskill NY where she and her late husband Charles to whom she was married 60 years owned "Risk Shoes" a shoe store specializing in orthopedic shoes for children. In 1980 they retired and relocated to Orlando prior moving to Deltona in 1988. Lillian was a very outgoing woman. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need especially her neighbors and was very respectful of others. She loved to entertain and was always the life of the party. She loved crossword puzzles watching soap operas and spending time with friends and family. She had a true zest for life and will be dearly missed by all who had the opportunity to know her. She is survived by her grandson Michael (Patti) Risk of Deltona; granddaughter Michelle Risk of Orlando great-granddaughter Elizabeth MacDonald of Orlando great-grandson Patrick (Jessica) Meyers and great-great granddaughter Autumn of Norfolk VA; niece Gloria (Joe) Peters of Deltona and nephew Bobby Pendergast of California. She was pre-deceased by her husband Charles and son Charles Jr. A memorial service will be held on Friday October 16th at 6:00pm at Hospice of Volusia Flagler 1625 Veteran's Memorial Parkway Orange City FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Volusia Flagler at the above address.
