On September 25, 2022, Mary Raquepau, loving wife and mother of three children,
passed away at the age of 75 from complications with pancreatic cancer. Mary was
born in 1946, to Betty and Joe Bajer in Michigan. Mary is survived by her husband
Alden and sister Gayle. She also had 3 deceased brothers, Joe, Alex and Stan. Mary
married Al in 1971 and had 3 children Paul, Beth-Marie and Philip and has 7
grandchildren Cole, Ellie, Ethan, Harrison, Colin, Zoey and Olivia.
She received her Master of Arts in urban planning in December of 1986 from Wayne

years. Mary was passionate about helping people. She taught religious education at St.
Ives in Michigan and school library parent at Bingham Farms Elementary also in
Michigan. She was also an assistant cub scout leader for Paul and assistant brownie

compassionate spirit. Mary had a gift to be able to strike up a conversation with just
about anyone who happens to be next to her. She was loved by all who met her and
touched so many people's lives throughout the years. She was always willing to go the
extra mile to help no matter what the issue.
She endured sixty chemotherapy treatments and yet still she never forgot to share her
positivity, great sense of humor and warm smile with anyone she came across her way.
Not a day went by where she didn't put you first and make you feel like the most
