Mary Elizabeth Thompson Preble age 89 of Deland formerly of Savannah GA passed away on Tuesday March 06 2012. A memorial service in her honor will be held at the Deland Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home on Saturday March 24th 2012 at 9:30am. Mary was born in Holly Hill South Carolina and dedicated her life as a homemaker wife and mother. She was a proud member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and the Wesley Monumental Church Savannah GA. Mary was a Military wife who eloquently made her home all over the USA and Europe she was a creative artistic organized woman with a flair for fabulous social functions. Two husbands: Francis Newton Thompson and Harold G. Preble preceded her in death and she is survived by 3 children: John P.H. (Valerie) Thompson Pamela (Rick) Thrasher and Merrill Oka 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Deland.
