Mrs. Mary Minton was born October 14, 1919 in Jacksonville, Florida to Evelyn Anderson and Richard Tutson. One of seven children, she completed her schooling in Jacksonville before moving to New York City. Mary settled in Upper Manhattan and worked various jobs in and around New York. She was a very caring and generous person; she was sweet, loving, and kind to everyone she met. Mary also held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was a big fan of "Blue Bloods", which was her favorite television show and her favorite song was "Happy". Mary will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by a sister, Louise Baker; her daughter, Vivian Delores Minton; and grandchildren, Kim Denise Minton, Harold Jones, Ivy Marie Minton, Christopher Guy Minton and Tyrone Minton, her great-grandchildren; Kimberly Triplett, Kevin Minton, Katima Minton, Keisha Jones, Kawanna Portee, Pearline Minton, Ebony Minton, Christopher Dexter, Nathan Minton, Thelleina Minton, Aniiya Nieves, Tyjune Minton, Tychell Minton, numerous great- great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her children, Pearline Minton, Sheila Dobby and Willie Minton and her siblings, James Brown, Richard Tutson, Jr., Mary Williams, Rosa Belle Tutson- Morris, Joyce Tutson, Evelyn Tutson-Gregory, Juanita Tutson and Sylvia Tookes.
