Mary Jane Mead 83 of River Lane Ormond Beach passed away on Tuesday December 4 2007 at her home. The daughter of William and Harriet Mead she was born in Titusville PA on March 6 1924. She graduated from Bradford PA High School in 1942 and then attended the University of Michigan. She then graduated from the Bradford Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse then she served as a nursing supervisor. While residing in Jamestown NY she graduated from Jamestown Business College and worked as nursing supervisor and medical records administrator at WCA Hospital. She was also nursing home administrator at King Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown NY. Since 1967 she has resided in Ormond Beach FL. She obtained an associate degree in mental health technology from Daytona Beach Community College. She was Director of Nursing for Ormond Beach Medic Home nursing facility and medical record administrator at Daytona Community Hospital Halifax Hospital and Daytona Beach General Hospital. She also taught in the Continuing Education program at Daytona Beach Community College. In later years she was employed at Bishop's Glen Nursing Home Supermed Home Health Care Agency and in the office of Dr. Frank Renolds DDS. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Robert W. Mead. She is survived by cousins nieces and nephews located out of state. She is also survived by her companion Dr. Jane E.
