Mary-Lu Leveroni, 70, of Ormond Beach, Fl sadly left us on March 7th following a courageous battle with Cancer at Halifax Hospice in Ormond Beach, Fl.

She was preceded by her husband, Joseph Leveroni and her parents, Lloyd and LouReid VanAken of Floral Park, NY. She is survived by her stepchildren, Jill, Matthew, David and Scott. Mary-Lu was also survived by several special friends, including Helen, "Buchmaier", Bickford and Joanne Leveroni.

Mary-Lu grew up in Floral Park, NY. She graduated form LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY with a BS. She spent many years in Syracuse and was an active actress in community theatre. She loved sports and was a dedicated fan of Syracuse University's football and basketball teams.

Mary-Lu moved to Florida in 1997 and was active in community affairs and was a banker at Regents Bank in Ormond-By-The-Sea. In 2015, Mary-Lu was presented the Anderson-Price Memorial Award for outstanding service to the Ormond Beach Historical Society. While living in Ormond Beach she was an active member of the Ormond Beach Historical Society. She was on the Board of Directors for the Ormond Beach Historical Society from 2004 to 2011. Most of the years, she was treasurer of the board and also a grant writer. She was president of The Trails Kiwanis Club and president of the Ormond Beach Rotary Club.
