Mary B. Lachat 82 of South Daytona passed away January 1 2012 at the Carlton Shores. A visitation will be held on January 4 2012 from 6pm until the Funeral Service at 7:30 pm at the Baggett and Summers Funeral Home 736 S. Beach Street Daytona Beach FL. Mary was born in Coventry England and raised in Tipperary Ireland. She lived in Brooklyn NY and traveled the world as a Marine wife settling in to South Daytona Beach in 1971. She spent her time being a devoted mother and wife. Mary was a supporter of many organizations such as the Cancer society Humane Society and many Veterans Groups. She was preceded in death by her brother Mike. Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years Charles Lachat of South Daytona; sons Leo Lachat (Kay) of FL. Mike Lachat (Linda) of Michigan; daughters Carol Ann Lachat of FL. Linda Greenwald (Phillip) of FL. She was also the loving grandmother to her six grandchildren and was anticipating the arrival of her first two great-grandchildren.
