Mary was a lady of many talents and in addition to her success as a restaurateur she was an accomplished seamstress who also enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was also a beloved Sunday School teacher for most of her life.

Just as she retired from her position at the church the Lord sent her another wonderful man. They enjoyed a whirlwind courtship of about two months. She married Arthur Horsch in 1999 and they had eight wonderful years together until his untimely death.
